Kenneth Rockwood is a geriatrician with extensive experience in dementia, and for the last 15 years has also seen patients with Down Syndrome Dementia. A native of Newfoundland, he completed medical school there at Memorial University, internal medicine at the University of Alberta. After completing a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Dalhousie University he came on staff in 1991, and has spent his career there. He has a special interest in individualized outcome measures for their key role in understanding how patients and families experience complex conditions like Down Syndrome. This interest led him to co-found Ardea Outcomes, which worked with LuMind to develop a Down Syndrome Dementia symptom menu.
