Jessica Avila, MSW, LICSW, is the Diversity Outreach Consultant with the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress. Jessica is a resourceful Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with eighteen years of experience facilitating initiatives, including community outreach and advocacy across the lifespan. Jessica is dedicated to improving cultural competence and reducing racial inequities within mental health and healthcare systems. Jessica is the founder of Rt 3:21 Wellness, a boutique therapeutic private practice that delivers mental health and wellness services for women of color. Jessica’s expertise includes women’s issues, depression, anxiety, daily stress, self-esteem, life transitions, cultural systems/identity, and single-mother parenting/ parenting a child with a special ability. Her unique ability to connect with people on a level where she motivates, uplifts, and genuinely encourages and guides individuals to find their voice makes the connection warm and easy-going. She is a mom to two wonderful boys, her oldest son Gabriel and her youngest son Jacob, who has Down syndrome.
