Dan Phillips is the Director of the Technology Resource Center of Marin (TRC), an assistive technology center that serves over 4,000 students with special needs in Marin County, California. He is a specialist in both Augmentative Communication and Assistive Technology and teaches at three Universities in the Bay Area for AT programs for Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Special Education Teachers. Having designed TRC, he and his team has created an effective collaborative, family-focused center to address communication, literacy, studying, access and learning needs for all students in Marin County Schools in 19 districts. He also is the CEO and founder of the Nika Project, a non-profit organization that provides resources to special needs communities both locally and across the globe.
