Having Down syndrome has never kept Blake Peacock, 36, from achieving his dreams. Throughout his life, he has enjoyed live musical theater and dance, and he has performed in several Christian Youth Theatre camps and shows. Blake started with the Improvaneer Method one year ago. It provides him a fun and creative way to continue his love of performing (and laughing) with friends. Blake also loves watching and participating in sports. He works out daily and is an accomplished swimmer. He has won numerous medals in Special Olympics downhill skiing, gymnastics and swimming; and earned gold, silver and bronze medals in snowshoeing at the 2001 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Alaska. Blake has also performed alongside Olympic gymnasts in the TJ Maxx Tour of Champions, and once served as the honorary captain of the Chicago Bears football team. He enjoys playing pickleball with friends and family.
